Calling all student programmers, developers, and entrepreneurs! The Web Startup Society is looking for students willing to present a 5 minute demo for our third DemoCampUofT event.
What Can I Demo?
Anything related to web or mobile startups (i.e. API mashups, browser extensions, android apps) or you can simply show a personal project you’ve worked on (Note: projects need not be complete, well-presented pitches are also welcome).
Why Should I Demo?
So many reasons. You will get free publicity for your work, a chance to market your idea to students and established companies. You will also get instant feedback, suggestions for improvement, or comments that give you new ideas to integrate into your project. You also learn how to speak in public, gain valuable experience in presenting yourself and getting your ideas across. You may also attract someone to work with you in your project as you network, or possibly to fund your initiative. Or you can simply do it because its fun!
